Therapeutic services at Red Ribbon Recovery
Our programs leverage techniques and methods from across a number of disciplines to meet our clients’ varied needs. Below are some of the therapeutic services that you might expect to receive as a client of Red Ribbon Recovery.
Interpersonal therapy
Interpersonal therapy focuses on the relationships and role changes that feed depression: conflict at home, grief, a layoff, a move. Over a defined number of sessions you work through what is straining those connections and practice handling them differently.
Mindfulness based therapy
Mindfulness based therapy teaches you to notice thoughts and physical stress signals without reacting to them. Sessions build usable skills like breath work, grounding, and body awareness to quiet rumination and interrupt an anxious spiral early.
Medication management
Medication management pairs prescribing with ongoing clinical oversight. A psychiatric provider reviews your history, starts or adjusts medication, monitors side effects, and changes course when something is not working, instead of leaving you on a prescription nobody revisits.
Exposure therapy
Exposure therapy works by approaching feared situations in a gradual, structured sequence instead of avoiding them. Used for PTSD, OCD, phobias, and panic, it retrains how your nervous system responds so fear stops dictating daily decisions.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation
Transcranial magnetic stimulation uses targeted magnetic pulses to activate the brain regions tied to mood regulation. It is FDA-cleared for depression that has not responded to medication, requires no anesthesia or sedation, and you drive yourself home after each session.
EMDR therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured, trauma-focused treatment designed to help individuals process distressing memories and reduce emotional pain. By reprocessing past experiences in a safe therapeutic setting, EMDR can support healing, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen overall mental well-being.
Biofeedback
The connection between mind and body is more powerful than most people realize and biofeedback makes that connection visible. By measuring physiological signals like heart rate, muscle tension, and breathing patterns, biofeedback helps individuals learn to consciously influence their body’s stress response.
Psychodynamic therapy
Psychodynamic therapy works by exploring deeper patterns, examining past experiences, unconscious beliefs, and recurring emotional themes to understand how they influence life today. Individuals gain greater self-awareness and begin to untangle the roots of long-standing struggles.
Adventure therapy
Adventure therapy uses outdoor challenges, like hiking, teamwork exercises, and problem-solving in nature, to build confidence, trust, and emotional awareness. In a safe and guided environment, individuals develop new coping skills, strengthen their sense of self, and experience breakthroughs.
Neurofeedback therapy
The brain has a remarkable ability to change, and neurofeedback therapy works directly with that capacity. By using real-time monitoring of brainwave activity, neurofeedback teaches the brain to self-regulate more effectively, helping to reduce symptoms linked to anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and other conditions.
